If I Had a Flower For Every Time I Thought of You…

I am back with another ColorDex Classic project with Sweet Sentiment Stamps. Not only do I like to keep record of my favorite color combination, but also of my favorite flowers, in this case, the Delightful Daisy stamp set.

I started my project by stamping all three of three of the Delightful Daisy petals three times in a blue green ink and then colored them with Copics. I layered them after shaping them with a bonefolder and hot glue. I find using hot glue, gives the most dimension when making flowers. I thought it would be fun add a honey jar in the background and did that simply by blending inks through the It’s a Jar stencil. I happened to use the “honey” portion of the stencil creating a smaller jar. I just love how versatile this stencil is. I cut the ColorDex Classic die out of heavy weight cardstock because I knew I was going to emboss it and find I get the best results that way. Finally I blended a blue green ink lightly over the panel using brushes. So easy, but such wonderful texture.
