Hello friends! I’m not sure if you know or not, but Spellbinders is carrying the Stampendous line now, which in my opinion is a win win. I am featuring the Hello Butterfly stamp set for this project. I love the playful butterflies included in this set as well as the cone flowers.
I decided to go with a simple one layer scene using Copics and Hello Butterfly. I stamped this scene so that nothing was overlapping another object making masking obsolete. I love scene cards, but sometimes like to be lazy and this pretty stamp set played nicely in that respect. After coloring the flowers and butterfly, I “drew” in the hillside and sky. Once I was sure the coloring was complete, I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. I make this point because this particular ink is a pigment ink and is NOT compatible with any alcohol marker. Not only will you ruin your markers, but you will smear everything. I thought you might want to to know that. Finally I matted the scene using the Fluted Classics Rectangles and Saffron Colored Cardstock.

I loved this set so much that my heart said to make another card with it!
I colored this one with Copics as well but paired the Hello Butterfly with an embossed panel called Fan Motiff. I wanted to add just a bit of brightness to the background since I chose an Indigo cardstock, so I applied Distress Oxide Prized Ribbon ink to the embossed area. I think this added just enough interest. To change this up from the first card, I decided to die cut the stamped panel with the Essential Arches dies and matted it with the Saffron cardstock.
