Spellbinders February Club Kit Subscriptions

Wow! Last month flew by so quickly. Yay! We are one month closer to spring. If you’re like me and love all things Spring, you’re gonna love the Club Kit Subscriptions from Spellbinders this month. The sweet bunnies, the florals, the embossing folders, all of it is so pretty and cheerful. You’re gonna have to let me know which club is your favorite!

I couldn’t resist the bunnies in the Clear Stamp/Die of the Month, so I started out by coloring two different images up with alcohol markers like Olo’s or Copics. After die cutting him I added him to a panel using the smallest of the Fluted Classics Rectangles die set to frame him a little bit. Next I blended Distress Oxide Faded Jeans onto the the Embossing Folder Subscription. I added a few sequins for shimmer and shine and called it done.

My second card uses another image from the Clear Stamp/Die and I paired it with the 3D Embossing Folder subscription. For this folder, I inked directly onto the folder with Distress Oxide Mermaid Lagoon on the side that has the writing on it. This allows for the color to be pushed down into the paper and the raised area to remain white. I thought the Essential Arches die layered up was perfect to frame this cute egg! Let me know what you think!

My next two cards feature the Glimmer Hot Foil subscription which happens to be beautiful Tulips. I used both of the embossing folders previously used, but you will see these cards are dramatically different, but are both colored with Olo alcohol markers.

So cool right? I love them both, but I am drawn to the peach colored card the most. Let me know which you are drawn to?

I have to admit I am having a hard time deciding which card is my favorite. I love this striking white and navy design using the Large Die Club. In addition to die cutting everything in white and slightly shading areas with a cool gray alcohol marker, I built the design after embossing the main panel with the 3D Embossing Folder. This card just speaks to me… because I love dimension!!!

And last, but not least we come to the Small Die Club. In my opinion this is a pretty big set, and comes with many different shapes to create any layout that your heart desires. Today I chose to use the hexagons, but I think I will be back later this month with the teardrop shaped dies. I colored all of the layers with alcohol markers, but really it would be just as easy to use different cardstocks. In addition to the Club kits, I used the Let’s Celebrate Sentiments stamp for the sentiment. Super fun right?

There are several other clubs offered that I didn’t mention, but Spellbinders is now offering Stitching Die of the Month, which is new in 2023! And of course if you want them all, there’s an option for that too!

Joy, how did you get the Tattered Rose on the base of the card but not the embossed elements?

    1. Hi Priscilla, I directly apply the ink to the embossing folder… the side that has the writing on front so that it pushes the ink down into the paper and the embossed area stays white. I just made a video on it… going live Sunday mooning. I hope that helps!
