Back to Basics, How To Make Your Own Patterned Paper

It’s been a while since I broke an acrylic block for anything but a paper weight, but today we are going back to basics and making our own custom patterned paper the old fashioned way. I chose to used the Whimsy Stamps, Dudley Mailed with Love set to do just that. After the stamping is complete, then you will find some basic Copic coloring. Let’s get started!

I usually start my cards by stamping and coloring the main image, but I went with the background first. I stamped the heart from Dudley Mailed with Love around the edge of the background panel to create my own background after ink blending several Distress inks. You may be shocked but, I broke out an acrylic block and stamped each heart individually because I think it’s faster to do it this way! After that I colored Dudley and die cut each of the panel using the Extreme Postage Dies. After that I stamped the sentiment and put the layers together! Be sure to watch the process below!
