Hi and welcome for some more inspiration using the Spellbinders Club Kits!. I just love these kits because new inspiration and fun goodies arrive at my door each and every month. Most of all I love how diverse the products are and that they can be used all year round. But I’m guessing you’re here to see my fun makes, and try your hand at winning a giveaway. For this beautiful card I am featuring the Large Die Of the Month Subscription as well as the Embossing Folder of the Month. Now if you love to emboss, like I do, then you’re going to love that Spellbinders is now offering two different subscriptions, the second being the 3D Embossing Folder Club which pairs well with all of the other clubs.
I like playing with my embossing folders and trying new techniques often, in fact you will find an entire playlist over on my Youtube Channel. I decided to emboss the 3D Embossing Folder using watercolor paper because I think it gives the deepest impression. Give it a try and let me know what you think. I colored the embossed areas with Karin Brush Marker Pros which are a type of watercolor pen, but you could use any type of watercolor medium of your choice. I thought the bold colors only needed a simple sentiment from the Let’s Celebrate stamp/die set to finish it off.
I colored the Clear Stamp Club and die with Copics and then matted it in white before adhering it to the Embossing Folder of the Month panel. For this technique I applied ink to the raised area of the embossed panel. This is a super easy way to add more interest to your cards.
My final card that I am sharing with you features the Glimmer Hot Foil Club. I purposely foiled this to be distressed, because it reminds me of the bug my Mom had when I was little. Truth be told I don’t remember the car itself, but we have the pictures to prove it. I foiled this in Copper Hot Foil to give it the appearance of rust… lol. Then I blended Tumbled Glass Distress Ink over it. The beautiful flowers on top are colored with Copics. I wasn’t sure who I was giving this card to, so I left the sentiment off for now!!!
