Hi my friends! I love birds, if you haven’t noticed, but the Layering Cardinals from Scrappy Tails Crafts makes my heart sing! I love this set from its beak to it’s talons! Cute huh? I happen to be in love with the beautiful color palette of the Winter Flurries paper pack too because it makes for the perfect classic Christmas. Let me know what you think!
Creating this card was not only fun, but pretty easy. I dug into my scrap bin to grab the perfect colors for the Layering Cardinal. I chose to feature the chubby cardinal because in my Kentucky yard we feed them well. The branch is also from the same die set, but I colored it with Copics to give it the perfect gnarly winter blend. I thought the papers from the Winter Flurries paper pack were the perfect wintry backdrop for this sweet cardinal. To top of my card, I added a sentiment from the Christmas Icon stamp set, by the way I am in love with this font!!!
