Storms Make Trees Take Deeper Roots

Man, we all have been through some storms over the last couple of years, and think this sentiment from Take Root sums it up well. Storms make trees take deeper roots, and they do that for us too. I hope you are doing well and fell strong and confident today.

I love this stamp set due to its diversity. You can use these images as roots, trees, or lightning and when that makes me want to invest in a stamp set. Today I used the images to create silhouette of trees along the bottom of the card, and lightning strikes along the top. Just by changing up the color of embossing powder the roots translate differently. After embossing the Take Root images, I then blended Color Hive Inks in the Colors Vegas Strip, Sugar Plum and Eclipse Black to create a night sky. You will notice I left the top lighter, added a generous amount of Eclipse Black along the bottom. The Sugar Plum was added in different saturations to create depth within the sky. I had to splatter the panel with water to get the illusion of rain too. I just love everything about this card. I applied this panel to an Eclipse Black cardstock and also embossed the sentiment on the same cardstock. Let me know what you think?
