My Favorite Color Hive Ink Blends with It’s Snowing

Hello my friends! As you know I love Color Hive Inks and have been working on my favorite blends. I thought I knew which I loved best, but then I created this trio of It’s Snowing cards, I found that I love dark dramatic inks that fade into a more pastel. I think you’re going to love these blends as much as I do!

I can’t decide what steals the show more, the stamp or the ink blends? You will have to tell me what you think? I did my ink blending first and embossed second. For the first card I blended the colors Blue Moon, Welsh Dragon, and Tartan Teal with a domed foam blending tool. I made sure to go over the blend twice to achieve a seamless blend. Upon my first layer of ink, I gasped because the Tartan Teal was so much darker than the other two colors, but I am so glad I stuck it out, because this is my new favorite blend!

This purple card was blended using Blueberry Cheesecake, Grape, and Coronation Purple Color Hive Inks. After using the “scary” dark in the first card, I was feeling so much braver using the Coronation Purple! And for the pink card, I used the colors Bubblegum, Flamingo, and Tiptree Jam Color Hive Inks all blended using a domed foam ink blending tool. Once the blending was complete I splattered all three cards with white acrylic paint.

Once all three cards were dry, I stamped the It’s Snowing image with Embossing Glue ink using a Misti. I also embossed it with white embossing powder. For the sentiment I chose Winter Wishes which I stamped with Eclipse Black ink and embossed it in clear.
