Hi friends, I am in love with the Decrepit Graveyard Slimline die that Whimsy Stamps just recently released because all of texture and dimension it adds to my Halloween cards. I paired this fun die with the Autumn Ghosts ATC stamp set because I wanted to show how products that are meant for completely different sized items can easily be used together.
I colored the Autumn Ghosts ATC with Olo Markers and then die cut the side edges with the inner most piece of the Slimline Decrepit Graveyard so that the borders would match up. I then cut out the elements from the same die set in gray and then distressed the edges with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink. In addition to the grave I die cut the letters and skull in white and black cardstocks to help build the scene. Next I started on the background by blending Distress Oxide Inks in the colors, Fossilized Amber, Rusty Hinge, Crackling Campfire, and Black Soot and then splattered it with Iron Gate Distress Mica Spray. After putting the card together, I thought it needed just a little bit more, so I added the cats from the Build a Graveyard die set. I just love the way this came together and am thrilled with the orange glow around the tombstone!
