Believe Me It Was a Headless Horseman

Believe me, the Headless Horseman is riding tonight amongst the fog with his ax in hand. Sounds scary right? Such a classic Halloween scene! I am loving this Halloween team, and can’t thank Whimsy enough for this opportunity as their team is uber talented!

Creating this card was so much fun because I was able to add a little bit of creative ink blending along with the Nevermore paper pack to create this spooky scene! I stated out by centering the tree from Sleepy Hollow in the moon and then added the covered bridge and horse from Headless Horseman which were stamped and embossed with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. Using a torn piece of copy paper I created the hills and shadows of the landscape by blending Color Hive Eclipse Black ink. In addition I blended around the edges to draw the eye but concentrated the shadow on the right side so that the horseman would be highlighted. For just a little pop of color I added the glow in the jack-o-lantern. To finish of the card, I embossed the sentiment in silver and matted the card panel in a brushed metallic silver card stock. I didn’t add any embellishments as I thought it would take away from the creepy night.
