Hey friends! You can only imagine the numbers of woohoos that came rushing out of my mouth when asked by Scrapbook.com if I wanted to make some cards for their EXCLUSIVE LDRS stamp, die, and stencil bundle called Hey Friend! Okay maybe there was some slight jumping up and down with delight involved too! Anyhow, this bundle is incredible. I’m a huge fan of both companies, even better I am a fan or layering stencils because they make coloring your projects a breeze!!! I created an unboxing video with one card example which you will find below, but also two additional cards that I will be sharing. Even though I am using the exact same bundle, the three cards are completely different and unique from one another. Let’s get into it!!

You can find the unboxing and process video here:
To create this first card I started by blending Distress Oxide Ink in the color Tumbled Glass creating my own solid cardstock color onto an A2 card sized panel. After that I adhered a Pink Fresh Studios Simply Diamonds die over the panel. Now comes the fun part of creating the flowers from Hey Friend. What I love about this set is that all of the images are one stamp and the die is ONE piece cutting them all out in one crank of the die cutting machine!!! I started by stamping the flowers two times (for lots of flowers to use) in Memento Tuxedo black ink onto smooth cardstock. Next using the 4 layer stencil I blended Catherine Pooler ink in the colors: Do-si-Do, Tiara, and Catching Rays though the petal sections and Lime Rickey and Martini through the foliage sections of the stencils. Once the inking was completed I ran both of the inked flowers sets through the die cutting machine and the flower arranging began. Be sure to watch the video for this process!

Do you notice how some of the flowers are more yellow and some more coral? I used the exact same inks to create all of the flowers, but by layering the inks in different combinations, I was able to obtain different saturations and tones. That’s what I love about layering stencils. To finish my card I added a sentiment from Hey friend and die cut it onto an Art Impressions A2 Double Stitched Rectangle die. This was stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink because in my opinion this ink gives the darkest and most crisp impression for sentiments. Finally, but not least, I added a few Trinity Stamps Blow Out Baubles for sparkle and shine!!
Here are two more samples that I made using this Hey Friend Bundle from Scrapbook.com!

For this card, I used the same Catherine Pooler Inks for the greens, but used Sixteen Candles and Pixie Dust for the Petals.

This card shows Catherine Pooler Inks in the Colors Minted and Aquatini and foliage colored with Memento ink in Lodon Fog.
That wraps up my cards for today. Be sure to check out my Scrapbookcom gallery HERE:
