A Straight and Narrow, But Bold Floral Design

Hello friends! It feels like a hot minute since I’ve been back here with you. You know how much I love a bold floral design paired with geometric backgrounds, and I think I found the perfect one with the Straight and Narrow background stamp from Maker Forte! I just love how the Grateful To You floral pops off the page. Let me know what you think!

I had so much fun creating this card, and started by inking up the Straight and Narrow background stamp with Color Hive Inks in the colors Pop Art and Tartan Teal in a random pattern. I got by with not blending the colors because they are so close together in the color family. After the trimming down the panel to 3.75 in x 5 inches I blended the Pop Art to create a vignette. While the ink dried, I then stamped the Grateful To You floral and colored it with Copics. Once the image was fussy cut, I then popped it up with foam tape on the background panel. Finally I added a white heat embossed sentiment that I inked up with the Pop Art ink creating my own colored card stock. A few gems were added for a little sparkle!

Copic coloring:
Flowers: R 81, 83, 85
Leaves: BG 93, 96, 99
Berries: BG 11, 72, 75
white gel pen
