America The Beautiful, Thank You For Your Service

Hello my friends! I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, if you are in the States. I’m still celebrating, because I am forever grateful to those who fought for our freedoms. I love this country, its flaws, its wonders, and its glory. I love it all, and am happy to bring you a card celebrating America The Beautiful using some of my favorite Maker Forte products.

This card was quick and easy to make and would be perfect for all skill levels. I used a color block stamping technique by applying two Color Hive inks in the colors Telephone Box and Vegas Strip to the top and bottom third of the America the Beautiful stamp set. Once the ink was applied I used mini blending brushes to soften the lines creating a red white and blue design. Next I stamped a sentiment from the Because of the Brave stamp set in Eclipse Black ink in the center of the “map”. To create a little bit of movement and interest I stamped the Splatter Square stamp set haphazardly along the panel.

No card is complete unless you add something to the inside, so I stamped a simple “thank you” from the Because of the Brave. I couldn’t think of anything more appropriate than that, can you?
