Caught in The Waves with My Favorite Color Hive Ink Blends

Hello friends! You know that I love the ocean, flip flops, but I’m betting you didn’t know that I have a new love! That’s right I am in love with the Color Hive Inks from Maker Forte, and have decided to come up with “my favorite” blends and today I am exploring an ocean blend as well as featuring the Caught In the Waves stamp set. This couldn’t be more perfect as I’m preparing for my trip to Creativation in Florida later this week. Let’s get into this..

Doesn’t this make you want to dip your toes in the ocean!!! It does me! To create the background I used the Color Hive Inks in the colors Blue Moon, Icy Mist, and Neon Lights blending them with a brush. After the blend was finished I added water droplets to get the fun texture. While that dried, I got started on the stamping of the waves. Using the Embossing Glue ink, I stamped three of the solid wave images from Caught In The Waves and then heat embossed them with gold embossing powder. I also stamped one of the sentiments with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and embossed it in clear before assembling my card.

Because I love texture, layers and dimension on my cards I made a white frame to add to my ink blended panel and then adhered it to a Perfect Fold Slimline Cardbase. In addition I popped up my circle/waves to create even more dimension. I not only love texture, but shine so I painted on the Clear Maker’s Magic Glue to the waves and glittered them up. Oh my this is fabulous, and the pictures don’t do it justice. Try this type of application on your next project, I promise you will love it!!!
