Hello friends! Can you imagine any other perfect blend than coffee and your best friend? I sure can’t Honestly I look forward to long talks, coffee and desserts with my bff, and sometimes it goes too long between our coffee dates. You may have guessed, I made this for her to remind her it’s time again. I used the stamp set Coffee Love from Scrappy Tails Crafts for my caffeinated note today. I think you’re going to love it.
To create this card I stamped the Coffee Love images and colored them with Copics and fussy cut them out. If you don’t like fussy cutting, there are accompanying dies available in the shop that you can either purchase as a bundle or individually, can find the Coffee Love Bundle here. I used a coffee dyed background that was created years ago, by soaking copy paper in coffee and drying it flat. Once dried I used an old embossing folder from my stash to create further texture, and I recommend spritzing the paper with water before embossing to keep from tearing it if you try the copy paper. I also heat embossed the sentiment from Coffee Love using Distress Oxide ink, Picked Raspberry and clear embossing powder. From there I matted the panel onto chocolate and pink mats before wrapping pink bakers twine around the layers. Once happy with the twine placement I added the cute little coffee elements to panel popping up some of them with foam squares. For my final bells and whistles, I add a few pink sequins and called it done.
