Hello friends! Today I am participating in an Autoimmune Awareness Hop on both Instagram and Youtube. I am so glad that Terra of Mayhem Crafts has put this together because more than seven percent of our population suffers from an autoimmune disease. To date there are eighty identified diseases, but I am willing to bet there are more that we don’t know about. What that translates to is 23.5-27 million Americans suffer from one of these autoimmune diseases. If you aren’t sure what that is exactly, it is where the body produces antibodies that are supposed to fight infections, but they actually attack the body’s cells, tissues and organs. But now that I have told you the bad, I have the good… this hop is sponsored by so many generous companies, and if you hop along with us you will be entered for a chance at prizes!!!
For my project I chose to work with the Beautiful Blooms collection from Pink Fresh Studios and highlighted the sentiment “You are Amazing” from the Fancy Script hot foil and die set because I think anyone who suffers from these diseases are amazing. One day the person will feel great and be going full speed ahead, and the next he or she will be down for 3-4 days to recuperate.
I started out my project by hot foiling the Geo Blocks background plate and the Fancy Script plates with Matte Gold Glimmer Foil, and then using the coordinating die, cutting out the sentiment. Then I stamped the Beautiful Blooms with Versamark ink and embossed them in gold. I colored them easily by blending Altenew Crisp Dye inks through a 4 layer stencil and then die cut them.
