Everyday Holds the Possibility of a Miracle

Isn’t the idea of everyday holding the possibility of a miracle, amazing and uplifting? I hope someone out there needed to hear that today. I know I need to hear it often, and am thankful for God’s promises. I find myself leaning into my faith more and more each day as we become weary from this pandemic. I pray for the miracle of it ending for all of us. I am so happy to bring you this card for Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps and hope you enjoy it. I am featuring two stamp sets, the first being Begin Again, and the other Texture Tiles 2. Let’s take a look and then I will get into the process…

I started with the background first today, because I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted, but it turned out perfect! I used Distress Ink in the color of Pumice Stone and swiped the pad across the cardstock several times to get a faux wood texture and then used the wood plank stamp from Texture Tiles 2 and stamped it 6 times being sure to line up the wood grain. I used Versafine Clair Nocturne for the stamping and then heat embossed it with a clear powder. Next I stamped out the three buttlerflies from the Begin Again stamp set using Color Hive Eclipse ink and then used a simple blend of Copics. I let my Scan n Cut do the hard work and fussy cut the images out, because you all know I hate fussy cutting. I also used the same ink to stamp the beautiful sentiment and then die cut it into a circle. I thought the panel needed to pop a little more so I added Vintage Photo Distress Ink along the border before matting it in gold cardstock. I felt like the butterflies and sentiment needed a landing place, and decided to add a small strip of black cardstock with faux stitching added. For the final bells and whistles a few gold sequins were added. I mentioned earlier that I stamped all three butterflies, I saved one of them for the inside of the card, to add a little surprise for the recipient.
