Hello friends, I am sad to say I have a buddy who’s going through a rough time with cancer diagnosis and I wanted to make her a card to just let her know I am thinking of her and keeping her in my prayers. I thought the Floral Catcher digital stamp set from Joy Clair Designs would be perfect for this kind of card. Sometimes you have to let other’s know that you will catch them. In addition to loving this set for my friend, I love it because it comes with 2 beautiful dream catchers and three wonderful sentiments to encourage those you care about.
This was a very easy card to create, but it is beautiful and conveys love which is so important these days. I used Floral Catcher for my project today and printed it onto smooth card stock. I die cut the panel down to approximately 3.75 x 5 inches with a new Gina Marie designs X stitched nesting rectangle set, and colored it with Copics. For added texture and interest I splattered some acrylic paint over it before matting in gold and an egg plant card stock. I chose pops of gold and yellow because they are opposite of purple on the color wheel creating contrast and drama. Whenever I am stuck on what color combination to use, I always look to the color wheel for inspiration, and the answer is always hidden there. I hope that helps if you struggle with choosing colors too.
