A Sentimental and Traditional Candle Light Christmas

Hello sweet friends! My favorite part of Christmas are the Christmas Eve Candle Light masses. There’s something about the choir singing O’ Holy Night as the world welcomes the birth of Christ and all of it’s wonder. I remember from a very early age singing next to my Mom in church holding the candle carefully and the intimacy of the services. If only I could have that moment with her again, one more time. It’s only natural that I made a card using her favorite color scheme. She loved burgundy, green and gold for Christmas and had the most gorgeous snow globe with St Nick holding a candle and that’s how I remember my childhood Christmas’s. Scrappy Tails CraftsCandle Light Poinsettia stamp is everything old and new in Christmas which is why I chose it for my focal point.

For this card I chose scrapbook papers from my stash to accent the Candle Light Poinsettia image, and I just love the Traditional look of this. Before assembling my panel, I heat embossed the greeting from the Christmas Market stamp set in gold because it makes it easier lining it in up in my Misti. I then stamped the candles with Memento ink onto smooth card stock and colored them with Copics before fussy cutting them with my Scan-n-Cut. I just want to add that there are dies available for this stamp set, but I don’t have them. Finally I constructed the card and a few flat sequins and a baker’s twine bow. Pretty simple, but perfect for the holidays!
