Hello friends! Happy Friday! The first week of November has been pretty darn good. I hope you can say the same. Today I am bringing you a shimmering fall inspired thank you card. I love having thank you notes ready to go, because you never know when you’re going to need one. I have been intentional in saying thanks to people letting them know that I care and appreciate even the smallest acts of kindness. I think that is very important in the times we are living through, don’t you? I used the digital stamp, To You from Joy Clair Designs to create this stunning card.
Joy Clair Designs gives us a mood board each month on their Facebook fan page, and I took inspiration from that, and I encourage you to take a look and try it too.
I was really inspired by the yellows, reds, and the violets in the corn, and based my color palette around these three colors. I printed one of the To You images onto smooth card stock to fill the majority of a 3×6 inch panel making it suitable for a mini slimline card and colored it with Copics. I went with jewel toned blue green for the glass vase, but added just a hint of the floral colors to give the illusion of reflection just for an unexpected surprise. I also used one of the sentiments from the To You set, but cropped part of it out, to make it read “thank you” onto maize colored cardstock. Later I cut the into a banner.
I am loving the Lattice Mini Slimline die that is available in the shop now, and die cut the largest frame in a deep maroon color to match the floral in my front panel. I then chose a peacock color to pick up the color of the “glass” and used that as my focal layer. I just love how it pops on the white card base! My final embellishing included adding iridescent gems, and shimmer spray which I think is just stunning.
