Hello friends! Happy Friday! Boy this has been a long week filled with a lot of ups and downs for me, so I thought I would get some coloring therapy in to ease the stress. I have been so inspired by other bloggers and youtubers that have been transforming their summer themed stamps into Fall inspired projects, so I thought I would give it a try too!
I used the Bees Knees stamp set from Whimsy Stamps which is a daisy with bees, but I chose to color it in fall colors. My African Daisies are thriving in this early Fall, but warm weather and I’m hoping I captured a little bit of their beauty here today.

Admittedly my daisies in the yard are a little bit more vibrant in shade, but I chose a more muted color for my palette today. To create this card I started off by stamping the Bees Knees image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto smooth card stock. I colored the background in a deep Violet color (v99) before coloring the flowers so that I could gauge which colors would best pop on the background. I used my standard blends of yellow greens for the stems and then used YR 21, 24, 27 for the petals. I dotted on several contrasting browns for the cones of the flowers. Once happy with my images, I splattered Art Alchemy Unicorn Spark onto the panel. The sentiment comes from a discontinued stamp called Teresa Talks Fall from Scrapping for Less which I heat embossed onto to a Quick Strip from Whimsy stamps. I then trimmed down the front panel to 3.75×5 inches and matted it with a muted yellow cardstock before adhering to the A2 card base. For the final bells and whistles I added a few gold baubles from Hai Supply.

This pretty much wraps up this beautiful card. For more inspiration be sure to checkout my Instagram!
Just a small disclaimer! All items used in all of my projects are (or have been) purchased with my own funds, but this does not include design team items that I have received or otherwise stated.

Until next time… keep crafting!!!
