Hello crafty friends! I have been following Taffleberry Lane on Youtube for a very long time and am always inspired by her fun cards and videos. I was learning Copic coloring from her before I knew what they were. Seriously I love her, and am so excited that she has come out with a few digital coloring pages on the Cashmere Moon Designs Etsy Store. I hope she continues to draw designs and publishes them for sale as she is such an inspiration to me.
The few images she has available coordinate with videos so that you can color along with her. I did just that with the Pumpkin Spiced & Coffee coloring page. I used the majority of the same colors as she did, and then added a few of my own to create this card. But please know the credit goes to her.
I printed this onto smooth cardstock and then pulled my Copics based on THIS video on the Taffleberry Lane channel. I added a few of my own blends to the scene, but followed her extremely close, and I give her all of the credit for this incredible scene. Once I finished with the panel, I stamped the sentiment on the pumpkin with a retired stamp from Stampendous and then using a dark blue copic I outlined the panel to give the illusion of another matting layer. I of course broke out the Unicorn Sparks and splattered the panel before matting it on a dark orange layer of cardstock. Since this card is for my son, I chose a masculine plaid from a 12×12 pad from Craftsmart called Hearth and Harvest. He loves offset designs which is why I applied the focal panel to the bottom right. You have to know it pained me not to center it!!! Anyhow, my last touch was adding a simple twine bow (which he will rip off). I can’t complain, because he keeps all of my cards which is incredibly sweet.
Thanks for taking a look, and do yourself a favor and checkout Taffleberry Lane! I promise you will learn so much from her. If you love watercolor, she did a video showing that too with this image!
Until next time…. keep crafting!!!!
