Hello crafty friends! I have a super fun and easy card to share today featuring non-traditional Autumn Colors. I’ve really been trying to do things a little different this year, I think I’m loving this palette! In addition to these fabulous colors, I have added gold accents by foiling my images and sentiments from Joy Clair Designs! Let’s take a look…
My mini slimline card features three of the leaves from the Thanks stamp set as well as the sentiment. I love that this is a digital stamp because not only could I size them to fit my project, but I could print them with a laser printer. I mention that because using a toner printer allows me to use reactive foil to add the shimmer and shine to my project.
Tip: Heat your laminator or Minc machine for about a half hour to get flawless results.
To create this card, I size the leaves from the Thanks stamp set down to be approximately 2 inches in height in my photo editing software and printed them on 3 different colors of cardstock. Thankfully, my scan n cut was able to detect the images on the colored cardstock so I was able to save time and have it “fussy cut” them for me. Ironically I sized the sentiment up a bit, so that it would be a bold focal point on my project. Once everything was cut out and ready to go I applied the gold reactive foil to the images by running it through my laminator. I also decided to go with a little darker gray cardstock for my background and used a Cable Knit embossing folder to add texture.
Once I had all the bits completed, I matted the embossed panel to gold mirror cardstock to add more shine. Next I arranged my leaves in clusters, and just glued down the stems so that they would have movement and dimension. The bold sentiment was also matted in gold and then popped up foam tape before applying it over the cluster of leaves. I then added the entire thing to a mini slimline card base which measures 3.5×6.5 inches. I just love how this turned out, and it was super easy!
