Are you ready to greet the witches and goblins at your door this evening? I’m too excited to see their sweet faces, but once the trick-or-treaters are fast asleep, I’ll be visiting one of my favorite haunted houses. Do you have any plans for this evening? I’d love to hear about them. This is my last Halloween card for the season which features the Witch’s Monkeys stamp set from Colorado Craft Company and a spooky Distress Oxide sky. Let’s take a look…
I decided to start my background first so that it would have time to dry while I colored this cute witch. I first used a circle die cut to mask the moon and blended over it. I used the colors, Aged Mahogany, Festive Berries, Crackling Campfire, and Black Soot for the made blend. I also added a bit of Pumice Stone to create the clouds over the moon. An easy way to create the illusion of clouds is to use a torn edge of paper and lightly ink blend from below the torn line and up… just a dab. I added white splatters and let it dry! In the meantime, I stamped the Witch’s Monkeys stamp set and colored it with Copics. Using my scan n cut, I fussy cut her out because it is much quicker than I am. My last step was heat embossing the sentiment from the same set before adding her to the panel. Pretty simple, but very spooky right?
Just a small disclaimer! All items used in all of my projects are (or have been) purchased with my own funds, but this does not include design team items that I have received or otherwise stated.
Happy Haunting!!!
