Hello my caffeinated friends! Aren’t you happy that it’s National Coffee Day? I’m curious have you picked up a free cup of java, or maybe scored a really good deal? I went to Dunkin’ Donuts and picked up a fabulous cuppa… and of course a donut. Now that I’m charged up on sugar and caffeine, I have a fun card to share for Joy Clair Designs featuring First Coffee which can be found in both clear stamp and digital formats. This stamp set comes with four images and six sentiments for all of your caffeinated needs! Let’s take a look…
Aren’t these little critters the cutest things ever? To create this card I started by stamping the two critters so that they would be facing each other and slightly off set from one another. From there I sketched out my Copic scene in a light color in case I need to make changes. This scene was inspired from one of Sandy Allnock’s classes called, Copic Enchantment: 10 Slimline scenes, which I adapted to an A2 sized card. I’m not going to go into the process, because you really ought to look into her classes! Once finished with the forest scene, I then colored the critters because I didn’t want the browns to bleed onto the scene during the process. By the way this was my first go round with the class, and can’t wait to try it again to map out my progress. Next, I added a simple speech bubble for the sentiment and called the card done. I really didn’t want to embellish it much, because it might take away from the scene.
