Falling Leaves Slimline Card

Hello friends! I am starting to accept that Autumn is almost here, but you better believe I will be spending the Labor Day weekend in the pool. But for now, I will bring you a fun Fall inspired slimline card featuring a few of my favorite companies, held together by Bearly Art Glue! . Let’s take a quick look…

I’m really loving using my die sets here lately and this card was no exception. But let’s talk about how I made these gorgeous leaves. I have a ton of scrap watercolor paper, which I sprayed with Sparkle Aqua Pigments by Brutus Monroe. Now I know someone is going say, “those aren’t sprays”, but the spray bottle caps at Dollar Tree fit their glass bottles. You can find them in the craft section. Once my scraps were dry I die cut the leaves using Tim Holtz Fall Foliage dies.

To create the background I die cut the Hip To Be Square Slimline die twice with cream card stock and stacked them together to add dimension. I of course, adhered the layers together with Bearly Art Glue! I then added the grid to a slightly larger layer of cardstock before popping it up onto the card base. A little trick I use for popping up layers is adding a bit Bearly Art glue to my foam tape creating a little wiggle room because I never get the layers on straight otherwise! I added the sentiment which was a freebie from the Unity Stamp Company, and die cut it with Quick Strips from Whimsy.

I think this pretty much wraps up my project for the day! Thanks for checking it out!!!
