Easy Distress Oxide Stenciled Christmas Card

Hello crafty friends! Are you having a good start to your week? I’ve been taking it easy after a weekend of crafting. Sigh.. such a difficult life! Lol! Anyways I am back with a collaboration project with Bearly Art, Waffle Flower and Ground Up Creations. I really love making projects with my favorite companies and melding them together with Bearly Art glue.

I was really excited to use the Waffle Flower Mini Stencil Mat and Pine Trees stencil to create this fun snowy scene. For each tree I used three Distress Oxide inks creating an Ombre effect and used one of the slopes in the stencil set to ground each tree by blending hillsides under them. Once happy with the layout I blended a light sky and added white splatter for the snow effects. While that dried I heat embossed a greeting from Penny Black using silver embossing powder on vellum. To secure the vellum I scored along each end and adhered it behind the panel using Bearly Art glue. Finally I mounted the panel onto silver glitter stock from Ground Up Creations and a mini slimline sized card base. A few gemstones from Trinity were added for the shine factor. Pretty easy, right?
