Hello crafters! I love making personalized gift boxes for my friends and family and this was no exception! This tulip inspired gift box is for my best friend, and she of course loves tulips. I realize they aren’t in season now, but this is for her. Let’s take a look…
This was a really easy piece to make, and you guessed it, the box itself came from Dollar Tree. Using yellow, pink and green scraps of card stock I die cut the flowers with a Sizzix Tulip Die set. I used 5 layers for each flower and shaped them with a stylus and glued the layers down with Bearly Art glue. Before glue the layers I inked the pink and yellow layers with a bit of Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide ink with a blending blush to add vibrancy to them. Once happy with their shape, I then glued them all in place with my Bearly Art glue. I then added the leaves from the same die set in the bare space curling them with a bone folder.
In addition to the flowers I adorned the gift box with a white sheer ribbon and a simple birthday banner. I’m curious do you have someone special that something like this would be perfect for? If so I encourage you to alter your dollar store finds and make something fabulous with them!
I think this pretty much wraps up my project for the day! Thanks for checking it out!!!
