Hello friends! Are you gearing up for your Autumn crafting? I’m still hanging onto summer, but my crafting is heading toward cooler days. Since I find myself in this transition I thought I would pair sunflowers and coffee for my next project for Joy Clair Designs. I’m curious do you have that person in your life that knows that they are as important as coffee? My rule of thumb is always, “don’t call me until noon” unless you are expecting a growl on the other end of the phone. lol Let’s take a look…
For my project today, I used a few elements from three different stamps from Joy Clair Designs. I used Photoshop Elements to size and manipulate my images, but there are several free programs you can choose as well. I started by using the whipped coffee image from Coffee Mood and printed it out onto smooth card stock. I also printed the sentiment from Floral Joy and made it into a small banner. My next step was to stamp the sunflower from the clear stamp set called Thankful For You with Memento ink and colored it with Copics. I wanted the coffee cup to be the star of the show, so I went with a white on white embossed background using a 3D embossing folder, and added just a few heart embellishments. Of course I needed a little bling, and that’s where the copper glitter came to adorn the flower and whipped cream!
