Hello crafty friends! I hope you’re having a wonderful Memorial Day weekend? I love this holiday because it makes me reflect on how much I love this country and the fact we are the Home of the Free and the Brave! I can only use that phrase because of the heroic men and women that have served and continue to serve this country. In this current moment in time, I find our country to be in a strained place because the rights of many Americans are being stripped away and that scares me. It especially scares me because the world just faced a pandemic and one country literally has proven how easy it is to take down the world’s economy and spread fear throughout. I have always refused to live in fear because I serve God, and HE always wins.
I am so thankful that those beliefs were instilled in me and I believe in the God I serve, and the country I live. I just ask that everyone take a minute and reflect on what 1776 meant and the freedoms that are afforded to us because of those who died for you and for me. I love this country and I love its people. God Bless America! and God bless those that fell protecting it!
When I saw this sentiment found in the What’s Kraken stamp set from Sweet Sentiment and knew it had to be paired with Sidney Powell, the constitution protector! Photo credits The Guardian which is ironic. I colored the Flag Works stamp from Whimsy with Copics. Of course I had to have it on the back drop of the US Constitution preamble.
This card may not be for everyone, but that’s what’s awesome about this country!!!
Just a small disclaimer! All items used in all of my projects are (or have been) purchased with my own funds, but this does not include design team items that I have received or otherwise stated.
Until next time…. keep crafting!!!
