Hi friends, I have a quick card to share with you, that I started on vacation, and then I quickly realized I didn’t have a die cutting machine. As many of you know, I despise fussy cutting, even the simplest of images, isn’t that sad? Anyhow my card features the My Monthly Hero Arts April 2021 kit. I’m excited that I am only 8 days into May, as I have stamps that are years old in my stash! Let’s take a look…

There were a few animals to choose from in this kit, but I really loved this quirky fish, so I went with it. The kit comes with a 3 layer geometric stencil set, but only used the one with the lines. I can’t wait to try out all 3 layers together, but on vacation, I didn’t have tape or pixie spray, which made blending and lining up the layers more tricky. Let’s face it, on vacation you want it easy and with limited supplies. I I blended the background with Distress Oxide ink in the color of Peacock Feathers and Distress Ink in Chipped Sapphire through the geometric stencil that came in the kit. I then stamped the fish with Memento Tangelo ink and rocked the Morocco over the bottom edges. In addition to the fish, I die cut circles with nesting dies and colored them with copics in similar shades to the fish. I finally built my scene and popped up some of the images to add a hint of dimension. I think that wraps it up for me.
As of today the My Monthly Hero April 2021 is available and it can be found HERE!
