Slimline Bird House Pop Up Card

Hi crafty friends! I’m back with another fun project from Scrappy Tails Crafts! I have to tell you every time I craft with products from Scrappy Tails, I have a genuinely fun and relaxing time. I love how effortless the dies cut and perfectly match up. I also love that the stamp sets are created to stand alone or compliment one another. In addition to the Slimline Bird House Pop Up Die, I used the Spring Birds 6×8 stamp set. Let’s take a look at this amazing project…

I chose to use patterned scrapbook paper to decorate the front of my bird house, so I cut the front panel twice and layered it with thick card stock. You don’t have to do this, but I like stronger cards. As you can see I chose to use a the stitched heart and scalloped circle to cut out the “holes” for the birds. Since this is a pop up card, I added fun patterns on the back panel for an added surprise!

The gorgeous branch and robin are from the Spring Birds stamp set, which I colored with Copics. I fussy cut the images, but coordinating dies are available. I arranged the branch hanging off the left side and trimmed it flush with edge. The simple sentiment banner was stamped using the Oopsy Daisy stamp set and heat embossed for added dimension. I truly loved making this project, because I was able to incorporate fun patterned papers with my love of coloring and of course, die cutting. I hope you love it as much as I do!
