Hi crafty friends! I’m so glad you stopped by for another fabulous project from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps. Today’s cards were made using Heidi’s Tree which is a beautiful silhouette stamp. I have two very different versions, which I love because it’s a versatile image. Let’s take a look!
I think the white card is pretty straight forward as far as the construction goes, so let’s talk about the evening sky version of Heidi’s Tree. To make this card, I started out by blending my background with Distress Oxide Inks, really any ink would do. I then swiped Versafine Clair Nocturne ink across the bottom (over the yellow inked area) and set it aside to dry. This ink stays wet longer so be careful not to smudge it.
Once dry I lined up the fence line directly above the black hillside. I used a Misti tool and tested out my placement by using a piece of acetate packaging that way it would be close to perfect. I heat embossed the tree with clear ep. You’ll notice the clouds in the sky, those are formed by simply blending over with a torn piece of paper. The clouds were inked with one shade darker in the progression so that they would show up. And finally, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from the Mini greetings 1 stamp set. That wraps it up for me….
