Hi and welcome back to my crafty place. Today I am sharing a card featuring multiple inks and stamp sets to create a beautiful Valentine’s Day card with these wonderful inks. I can’t wait to show you!
This card may be appear to be complex, but it took about 30 minutes to create. I started out by stamping with VersaMark ink, my Heart to Heart background stamp and embossing with white powder. I then blended Memento London Fog ink over it. You might find it blotchy when you first start, but keep going. You’ll see below how the beginning strokes of ink don’t look anything like the final masterpiece. I always want to share that with beginners, so they won’t give up too soon!
After creating the background I used a layering floral stamp for my focal point. I chose Memento inks in the colors of Angel Pink, Rose Bud, and Lilac Posies to stamp the Camellia images. I start with the most solid stamp and use the lightest color to get a good foundation, then use the 2nd most solid with the mid tone ink. You may have guessed it, I use the darkest ink with most detailed stamp.
I repeated the same process with leaves using Memento ink in the colors New Sprout, Bamboo Leaves, and Pistachio. I also used Versafine Clair Nocturne ink to stamp the sentiment from the Concord and 9th Love you to Pieces set, because I love the crisp impression it leaves behind. Once all of my stamping was completed I arranged the florals and popped some of the flowers up with foam tape. For added detail, I die cut 2 hearts and added glossy accents to them.
Creating this Valentine’s Day was fun and detailed, but a relatively quick to complete. I hope you will give it a try!
I hope you enjoyed the process!
Just a small disclaimer! All items used in all of my projects are (or have been) purchased with my own funds, but this does not include design team items that I have received or otherwise stated.
