Hi and welcome back to my crafty place! I had Barrels of fun playing with this clear stamp set from Joy Clair Designs! The Barrels stamp set is very versatile as it comes with a combination of 25 images and sentiments to build a scene with. I made a fun Sending Love themed card to share with you today.
I started off by stamping the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copic markes. I stamped one barrel with the sentiments on the front, and the other two were left plain. In addition to the Barrels, I layered the champagne bottles by masking the most forward row and then stamped the back row.
You’ll notice I stamped the solid hearts along the top ring of the focal barrel and added red stickles to them. I also stamped the outline heart and colored it with Copics and applied glossy accents.
The background, I admittedly had to play around with because I wasn’t loving my blend, but I kept going until I loved it. I started out with 3 colors of distress oxide, one being a gray tone which didn’t work, but then by adding Aged Mahogany over all the layers it came together nicely. I of course had to add shimmer spray to the whole thing because every card deserves to sparkle!
