Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello all welcome back to my crafty place! I am so glad to wish all of my American Friends a very Happy Thanksgiving. This year has been so difficult for the world, but I think we can all find things to be thankful for going into this holiday season. I am very thankful for my husband, my family, and health breakthroughs. But, most importantly I am thankful for the favor and mercy of God, whom I serve.

A Psalm of Thanksgiving.

100 Make a joyful shout to the Lord, [a]all you lands!
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and [b]not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.

I have a few cards to share that were made using the Simon Says Stamp November Kit of the Month which has sold out. I have good news though, you can buy the Big Thanks Autumn, stamp set separately. I typically don’t buy card kits, but this one was jammed packed with foils, a full paper pad, a gorgeous stamp set, and foilable acetate sheets. I didn’t photograph my foiled acetate cards that were made into shakers because I didn’t have good lighting and my reflection was in them… lol

My first card (square) was stamped onto kraft card stock and colored with Copic markers. The sentiments were embossed with copper embossing powder, and a few sequins were added from the kit. The two A2 sized cards were stamped and embossed with gold embossing powder. I then used three Simon Hurley Inks and blended over the images, using an embossed resist technique. I added the simple sentiment in black and some gold stickles to embellish.

All of these cards are very simple, but they let my friends and family know that we were thinking of them, as we couldn’t we be with them. My husband is working today, while I’m cooking. We will be spending a quiet evening together with our fur/feather babies. We truly are thankful for one another.

As everyone heads out for Black Friday, if you are brave enough to do so, please remember to be kind and patient.

If you are interested in Copic Coloring, I buy mine from Scrapbook Pal, as they are a small company, and provide excellent customer service.

Just a small disclaimer! All items used in all of my projects are (or have been) purchased with my own funds, but this does not include design team items that I have received or otherwise stated.

Hey!

I wanted to tell you about an awesome new tool I’ve been using. It’s called Tailwind! They offer a super easy way to plan, schedule, and analyze all of your Pinterest or Instagram posts.
