Hi there! Lately, I have been on roll showing how to take cards to the next level. Adding Glitz Glitter Gel to you Autumn cards, adds sparkle, elegance, and texture to your projects. Brutus Monroe and Thermoweb have collaborated to come up with sparkly fun Fall and Holiday products.
In this project I am focusing on using Gold Glitz Glitter Gel through the Falling Leaves stencil. I used a slimline card panel and ink smooshed it in the beautiful Turquoise Aqua Pigments and let it dry thoroughly
TIP: If you notice warping after water coloring projects, run your project through a laminator to straighten it out!
Moving on to applying the Glitz Gel. To ensure I didn’t have any glaze seep underneath the stencil, I prepped it with Pixie Spray. I applied Glitter Glitz Gel by spreading it with a stencil spatula… what a life saver.
TIP: wash your stencil off immediately or you will have a glitter stuck on mess.
After the panel was dry, I trimmed the panel to 3.25×8.25 inches and wrapped a thick burlap ribbon around the mid section. To make up for the bulk I added double thickness foam tape so it would be flat. The panel was then matted onto a gold panel and a Lunch Bag card base measuring 3.75×8.75in.
I stamped a simple sentiment from the Falliday stamp set with embossing ink and Raven Fine detail embossing powder. I die cut that with an Oval die cut and attached it with natural twine. My final touches were adding silver gemstones.
I think this screams fall and hope it inspires you to make cards of your own! Tell my how do you add glitz to your cards? I’d love if you’d tag me in them #joywilsonink.
