Pinwheel Birthday

Hi and welcome back, Joy here with a clean and simple design to share with you today. The August Stencil of the Month, is probably my favorite, but I think I say that every month! I love this one because it reminds me of pinwheels spinning around, and that makes me smile. I especially smile, because my husband each year buys pinwheels for our flower pots adding whimsy and shine to our front porch.

I digress a bit, but I do really love this August Stencil and Happy Heather Velveteen Glaze and can’t wait to show you the card.

I used Pixie Spray to make sure I got a really good seal on the paper before applying the Happy Heather through it as to get a clean impression. While that dried I die cut a 4x 5 1/4 inch panel and removed about 1 1/2 inch from the center. I then made some score marks to add stripes along the vertical edge for interest. Using my Misti stamping tool, Triple Berry ink, and the Extra Sentimental stamp, I added the “happy birthday.” At the very last minute I decided to add a 1/4 inch strip of Raven Card stock to give the card more dimension. For the final bells and whistles I added a few bling stickers!

I hope this inspires you to make something new with the August Stencil, and you share it with us on the Brutus Monroe Fan Club page!
