Hello and welcome back to my crafty space. Today I am sharing a card for Scrapper’s Delight for our Thrifty Thursday specials. Each of the images were chosen by the Design Team, so take a moment and check out their pages for more inspiration. I am featuring Animen Mia which was super fun to color with that cute dress! The images will be discounted so run and grab yours!
As part of my “Word” for 2020… CHANGE, I thought I’d do something a little different during my crafty time and made a mixed media background. I used a full page treated with gesso so that I could break out the gelatos and spread them easily and add plenty of water! I then added molding paste though a stencil to add texture. My last step was to add Distress sprays to get the splatter effect. After cutting my paper in fourths I got 4 very unique bacgrounds. I decided on the one featured but added some black stars to it aftter the fact through a stencil using distress oxide ink. Upon constructing the layers of my card, I decicded to add some rough circles using a miscelllaneous lid and more distress oxides. I was pretty scared of this background at first because it looked messy, but I do think it came together really well at the end. I’m very happy with it.
Products used: teal/white/black card stock, The Paper Studio heart dsp, Tim Holts Small Talk sentiment, Gelatos, Distress Spays, Distress Oxide inks, Clear gesso, Golden light molding paste, Dylusions Small Circles Stencil, star stencil made with my cutting machine, and Scrapper’s Delights Animen Mia
