Party Pig

Good morning!  I have a Freebie Friday from Bugaboo to share with you today!  I have to say I love this cute image because it reminds me of my daughter.  I was a crazy woman and got her a mini pot belly pig for her birthday.  That little piggy ran around my house like a little dog.  It had a certain oink to go “outside,” a cry for everything and the cutest piggy kisses in the world!!   I loved that little pig until it turned 2 years old then she got into everything.  If it resembled food or garbage she got into it!   That’s when the pig became an outside animal…. a farm animal… as in not at my house!!!!

Anyways, back to my card!  I thought the image spoke for itself, so I only added a Birthday sentiment and inked the edges.  Since my piggy didn’t leave anything too clean, ironically I made a clean and simple (for me) card.   Please take a minute to check out what the other designers came up with and give their blogs a little love over at Catch The Bug Challenge Blog.  And the Run over to Bugaboo Stamps and get your free stamp!!!

What’s the craziest birthday present you have bought for someone?

Products used:  white/green card stock, Pink Paislee Summer Lights patterned paper, Copic markers, stickles, gelly roll pen, Memento ink, blue sheer ribbon

  1. Beautiful and fun card😊 thanks for joining in the Polkadoodles challenge 😊

  2. So I have to ask, do you still have the piggy? They always look so cute when they are babies, but I've kept to only having dogs. I would say the craziest present I got was for my kid, a bearded dragon. She wanted a hamster but I'm allergic to just about everything so we compromised. And of course, CUTE card!

  3. Lola, sadly no the piggy went to a friend’s farm where she is living out her days running around outside. She is treated like a pet, and my daughter goes to visit. Lol.

  4. What a great story, and a wonderful result for piggy and your daughter! A fabulous card too Joy 🙂
We have never had any 'crazy' pets, but we had a budgie called Solomon as he learnt to mimic so quickly we figured he was wise… he was a great character for one so small, and lived 16 years!

  8. Lisa Lynn… the key is to buy wild gifts after they are grown and out of your house. I wish I had taken my own advice!
