Starting Something a Little New For Me.

As a woman, and an artist/maker I find that I’m not always secure in what I present to the world.  I always want it to be perfect and am afraid of any criticism that’s out there.  Isn’t that absurd?  We all have to learn somewhere right?  But, I’m finding that in my art I don’t have much of record of my progress because I am always giving it away, so after much deliberating I have decided to start an art journal.  As a kid I always kept a journal and as a Christian I keep a prayer journal, so I decided why not an art journal.  And when I say art I say that loosely. The things that rattle around in my head may be awful examples of mud.  At best I’m hoping for some great backgrounds, a few laughs, some feed back from you all, and maybe encourage someone else to record their progress and feed their inner artist soul today.  I am starting in a wired bound Canson mixed media paper journal.  I am thinking I may switch to a home made chipboard ring bound journal later, but we’ll see where this goes.  You can probably expect to see 1-2 entries a week here on the blog.  I’d love to see your feed back and even some of your own art journals.   Give me your links and I’ll follow you !!!! Here goes nothing!!!!
